In the year 1939 the Founder Mr. N.A.V. Naidu, Father of Mr. N.A. Ananth the current Chariman started his business with the Automobile Industry

Simultaneously switched over to Printing Industry in 1947 and started a Type Foundry in the name of Sri Ananda Type Foundry to manufacture Types in a small town in India, which was a very popular foundry supplying types with hand casting units.

In the year 1960 he had taken up the Agency for Automatic Type Casting machines from M/s. Koike Manufacturing company, Japan for sales and service in our country.

In the year 1968 collaborating with M/s. Koike Manufacturing Company, Japan had under gone complete training in manufacturing activities for 1 year.

Mechanical engineer by qualification, Mr. Ananth got into the field to manufacture lead type casting machines. To produce indigenous Machines to bring the cost down and to market more machines in India Mr. N.A. Ananth, the current Chairman established Printools Corporation in the year 1969 and the first indigenous Type casting machine was rolled out of the factory and there on the mass production started.   Being a quality conscious product it picked up popularity and a run for its competitors M/s. Monotype UK the manufacturers of Monotype casting machines in UK.

Down the years Printools got associated with Monotype U.K Ltd., to manufacture type casting machines for them. Monotype, U.K was the sole selling Agents in India.  Until the year 1983, Printools had almost sold 1000 + machines.  These machines were sold across the globe. Monotype U.K were very successful since the product was up to their standards.

In the eighties, India saw the advent of offset printing machines capturing the market.  Foreseeing the future of the printing industry, Mr. Ananth made the right move.   To meet the demand of high-speed offset printing machines, he visualized a huge potential for high speed finishing equipments.  He decided to manufacture quality Prepress and Postpress binding machines in the year 1981. Printools started manufacturing Prepress equipments and sold in the Brand name of M/s. Print Field.  Since then, Printools had always been a pioneer in bringing the latest technology to India.  Over the last two decades, Printools has established itself as a market leader & a trendsetter.  

In the year 1983, Mr. N.A. Ananth launched one more unit in the name of Printools Graphics Private Limited with the objective of producing quality finishing equipments for the printing industry.  Later his sons Mr. N.A. Bhoj Raj and Mr. N.A. Ramana joined him in the Business consecutively.

Between the years 1985 to 1990 Printools expanded its manufacturing infrastructure setting up 4 ancillary units to meet the production demands.  Moreover we also undertake job works of various companies like  L&T Komatsu (components for their earth moving equipments),  Bharat Fritz Werner (components for their CNC Milling machines) including a quality foundry steel casting unit of capacity of 60 tons a month, which today is an ISO 9000 & TUV certified company. 

Printools provides post press solutions to the printing industry beyond book finishing & binding equipments.  Printools is having 8 Branches at all the major print centers of India through which it supplies machines all over India and its neighboring countries.   Each center is well equipped with a team of engineers who would provide comprehensive pre-sale and effective after-sales-service support

Setting up its own marketing companies in Malaysia & Kenya namely as M/s. Printools (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and M/s. Printools Graphics Kenya  we are marketing our products in the following countries Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, U.A.E, Omen, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

From the Printools group emerged the Partnership firm THE PRINTOOLS CORPORATION in the year 2005.   The three partners Mr. N.A. Ananth, Mr. N.A. Bhojaraj and Mr. N.A. Ramana have taken the distributorship of M/s. Komori Corporation, Japan & M/s. Itotec Co. Ltd., Japan for marketing their Products in India.
